Heptapod 0.13.0 "dual python" released
We're glad to announce the release of Heptapod 0.13.0.
This version introduces support for wikis and is available in Python 2 and Python 3 variants, see the previous article about Python 3.
It also features major performance and scalability improvements for Mercurial repository content over HTTP.
Heptapod 0.13.0 can be installed in Python 2 and Python 3 flavours as a Docker image and from source.
The public instances managed by Octobus and Clever Cloud, foss.heptapod.net and heptapod.host are already running Heptapod 0.13.0.
Please test with Python 3 if you can, and don't hesitate to give us feedback on our communication channels, we love hearing from users.
What's next?
Note
we now have a roadmap page.
Under the hood, our Mercurial support was vastly refactored while Heptapod 0.13 was under development, paving the way for the future Heptapod 0.14.
Heptapod 0.14 will be perhaps the most exciting and crucial of our pre-1.0 versions. More information is available on the roadmap page. Work on version 0.14 is starting now.
We don't see a compelling reason to plan for a 0.12.5 support version, but don't hesitate to tell us if you really need one.
